ZyXEL ES105A Desktop 5-Port Fast Ethernet Switch Best Quality

I know little about computers. I wanted to be able to use the desktop without having to have our wireless router on all the time. Ordered this, at first it scared me that there was really no instructions. I plugged in the Cat5 from the cable box, ran one cat 5 to desktop, one to wireless router, turned it all back on, and everything works!!! If it's easy enough that I can do it, anyone can. ZyXEL Home Firewall Router With 4 Port 10/100 Fast Ethenet Switch Get it now!

I purchased this product specifically for use in a situation wherein a dial-up connection must be shared (but not simultaneously) between two workstations. I had tried various other products, but most were too basic and did not allow the configuration needed.

The dial backup is, from what I can tell, completely useless on this device. I tried three different modems, and all achieved high connections speeds. For some bizarre reason, though, this device limited all dial-up traffic to atrocious speeds. Transfer speeds with this device never exceeded 1.5Kb/sec while the same modem connected to one of the other basic routers was consistently over 5Kb/sec.

It seems that the dial backup on devices like this is really just an afterthought which they never expect anyone to use and which they never optimize or even verify.Get more detail about ZyXEL Home Firewall Router With 4 Port 10/100 Fast Ethenet Switch.

Where To Buy ZyXEL DMA1100P HD Digital Media Theater with Built In 200 Mbps HomePlug AV Powerline Adapter

I bought a PLA401Kit, a PLA470 4-port, and a DMA1100 for my home setup. Hooking up the PLA401 near my broadband router was a cinch. To test the system, I ran into the other room and plugged in the 2nd PLA401...five seconds later my ethernet connection was recognized...WOW!

I installed the DMA1100 media server into the media room. This took a little longer to connect because I had to configure Windows Media Server but after about one hour of configuration I was listening to my MP3 collection, watching my digital movies and running a digital photo slide-show on my 111" projection screen all from my home office computer upstairs. I am also streaming HiDef movies over my broadband through the powerlines in my house; the whole thing is cooler than I ever could have imagined. I do have a few complaints though:

1. The new 1100 DOES NOT require an additional ethernet connection box like the old 1000 did. The 1100 is online once it's plugged into the outlet. I bought an additional box that I did not need because the diagram ZyXel provided was from the older 1000 model; confusing.
2. The remote control should be backlit. It's buttons are small and hard to see; backlight would help.
3. The system recognizes photos by their digital tags instead of their file location. I now have to mass tag my entire photo collection (3500+ photos) with tags.
4.The system is sometimes slow to respond because it inventories your entire collection with every remote click. I wish it had some onboard memory and could build some inventory files that would speed up access.

I also bought the PLA470 for my media room downstairs. The media room is the farthest spot away from my wireless router and neither my netbook nor my ROKU box (streaming Netflix) could pick up any signal in the room. I hoped the ZyXel system could get me online. This system works so well it literally brought a grin to my face. I chose the PLA470 because of it's 4-port connection. I plan to wire lines for my families notebook connections (yes we're online while watching movies). This setup allows all of us to be online at once downstairs.

I cannot recommend this system enough. It's so easy to set-up and use and it runs faster than I could have imagined.Get more detail about ZyXEL DMA1100P HD Digital Media Theater with Built In 200 Mbps HomePlug AV Powerline Adapter.

Where To Buy ZyXEL PLA401v3 HomePlug AV 200 Mbps Powerline Wall-plug Adapter (Starter Kit - 2 units)

My home wasn't built with the idea of networking in mind (like far too many these days). Having to deal with my router and modem in either my kitchen or master bedroom was far too annoying. Running lines all over the inside or outside of my house was not an option, and streaming wireless movies back and forth on a network was too slow for comfort.

After all of this, I am amazed that I haven't heard of this before. I chose this setup rather than the Netgear ones due to a lower price and some bad reviews on the Netgear setup. Setup couldn't be easier. Hook one into your internet source, or router and the other one in the room you want to receive in. The kit came with software on a disc, but i never had a need to use it. I was happy to see that it came with a couple of ethernet cables, the only ones I had at home were way too long for comfort.

I can't say much for speed, or if it actually hits 200Mbps. I found that it worked as fast as my internet would provide (yeah, I have rather slow DSL) in every outlet in my house. The setup also worked using surge protectors, I recall a review somewhere stating that it didn't which is incorrect. There may have been a speed loss using protectors, but I didn't repeat my tests enough to prove that.

I am willing to bet that max speed is more dependent on the wiring of the house and the appliances you have plugged in rather than this 200Mbps limit. I haven't tried running this in the same outlet as a vacuum or popcorn maker, but that could be an interesting test.

In the end, I am very happy with this setup. World cleaner than running wires everywhere and faster than wireless. I would even recommend that people with the older Xbox 360's use this rather than the overpriced wireless adapter available.Get more detail about ZyXEL PLA401v3 HomePlug AV 200 Mbps Powerline Wall-plug Adapter (Starter Kit - 2 units).

Shop For ZyXEL WAP3205 Wireless N Access Point / Ethernet Bridge

I bought the device in order to put an industrial computer for which I am developing software on the network. A USB dongle would work but would be undesirable because it would require a driver to be installed. The industrial computer will be hard-wired when deployed. It's best if its configuration in testing is exactly the same as when deployed. A wireless bridge avoids having to install any software on it.

I had been using a Linksys WET610N, but it got progressively less reliable and finally stopped working altogether.

So, I quickly scanned the little booklet that came with the unit. Then, as directed, I plugged the ZyXEL into my MacBook Pro's LAN port (and turned off the AirPort to avoid confusion), reconfigured the Mac's ethernet adapter to have IP 192.168.1.42, and pointed Firefox at 192.168.1.2. The login page came up with the password already filled in. I logged in, and it performed a useless "network scan" and showed me a basically empty network diagram (no indication of any wireless networks within range or anything else that might clear up befuddlement).

The Expert Mode link was the only thing that seemed to lead anywhere. But it was a confusing maze. All indications were that the device wanted to be an access point, not a bridge. Not wanting to send it back to Amazon, I read its box to reassure myself it *could* be a bridge.

Finally, I clicked the last option under the last menu on the left (Maintenance / Sys Op Mode). I changed it from Access Point to Client Mode and clicked Apply, waited for it to reboot, and went back in in Expert Mode.

Then I found Configuration / Network / Wireless LAN and clicked the Site Survey tab. It promptly found my 2.4 ghz network, along with several others belonging to the neighbors. Finally, progress! (I also have a 5 ghz network, but it did not find that -- good thing I wasn't expecting it to support 5 ghz!)

So, I selected my network, clicked Add Profile, selected WPA2 / AES and pasted in my pass phrase (copied from the Mac's Keychain app). I clicked Activate, and my new network soon appeared in the Profile tab.

Next, I opened the unit's LAN configuration and set it to use DHCP and get DNS "From ISP", which turned out to be from my router.

After "applying" the above, I next changed my Mac's LAN adapter to use DHCP and restarted Firefox. Google promply appeared, along with my background image, thus proving the ZyXEL was now working, since the AirPort was still turned off.

I logged onto my router (a D-Link DIR 655), located the ZyXEL in the list of connected computers (its MAC address starts with 40-4A-03), and configured a DHCP reservation for it, so that its IP would remain constant. Then I added an entry for it to the Mac's /etc/hosts so that I wouldn't have to remember its address.

Finally, I unplugged the ZyXEL from the Mac, turned the AirPort back on, plugged the ZyXEL into the industrial computer and was able to SSH into the now connected computer.

BTW, do remember to change the password on the box. Even if your network is secured, rogue JavaScript you may happen to encounter could access the box from the inside if you leave the default password in place.

OK. Maybe I should have read the manual first. But I do think ZyXEL should change the software to put the operating mode up front. The choice of operating mode should be what you see when you first make contact with the device.

Also, the device should try to use DHCP to obtain its initial IP address instead of requiring the user to mess with their LAN config. Then the recommended procedure would be, plug it into your router, log into your router to see what address it got, then go to that address and configure it. It should revert to a fixed IP if and only if DHCP isn't available.

Shop For Omega Seamaster 300M Mens Watch 212.30.41.61.01.001

I recently purchased OMEGA James bond collection, Black Dial- Quartz from DUBAI. I can vouch for OMEGA'S built quality and moderate pricing, i.e. if one is comparing with Rolex Submariner. I am not a watch connoisseur myself, but certainly have an eye of attractive and quality watches, with an omega you can carry off with jeans, cargoes, swimming trunks, shorts, suits and what not.... There is no dearth of shopping malls in UAE and I always kept trying various watches to get the feel of them, before zeroing down to Omega. I am not here to take anything away from Rolex, but would like to add that Rolex being a strong brand, has overpriced their products. Rolex buyers certainly need deep pockets and reckon end up paying for brand Rolex rather then watch. Anyways these are my opinions. Omega's built quality of bracelet and watch case screams class, bracelet without being dull nor flashy is evenly poised for casual and formal wear. I personally prefer the Black Dial to the blue, BLACK CONTRAST stands out "PERIOD". Blue is always great but inclines more towards the casual look. Off course James Bond wore the blue, COZ he never had the black :) My father insisted that I pick up automatic instead of the quartz. Cost difference was one of the driving factor for me to pick up the quartz, also I am not into adjusting time regularly when the watch stops. I also feel It is a old school of thought and watch makers capitalize on sentiments that automatic watches are piece of art, yes they may be, but can the automatic guarantee precision timekeeping like their quartz counterparts, from what I have heard and read probably not. Plus why would I want to invest on mechanical watches, which can have unforeseen liabilities, especially considering the fact there are countless parts which keep the watch ticking. To conclude if you have something for watches and intend to spend moderate sum of money, then OMEGA is for you. One more word of advice, please ask the seller to bring the watch hands to 11.57 , i.e. few minutes away from when it strikes 12.00 and observe till the watch strikes 12.00 to see that the two hands are in line with the 12 .00 hr sign. i.e. exactly plum with the 12 hr sign. The reason is few watches might have unit specific errors (note: not referring to omega alone) and it is always better to check before you strike the deal.(Rolex and Automatic watch lovers no heart feelings pls) Each watch has a character of its own. Best of luck....Get more detail about Omega Seamaster 300M Mens Watch 212.30.41.61.01.001.

Where To Buy Omega Men's 2221.80.00 Seamaster 300M Quartz "James Bond" Blue Dial Watch

Get more detail about Omega Men's 2221.80.00 Seamaster 300M Quartz "James Bond" Blue Dial Watch.

Order Omega Men's 2220.80.00 Seamaster 300M "James Bond" Automatic Chronometer Watch

I received this watch for my graduation from an amazon seller called Timepiece Trading, and the service was incredible. The customer service was very helpful, they insured the Omega international warranty (which was very important to me) and everything is perfect. The watch itself is gorgeous: the blue waves are great looking, the luminescent hands and markers work even in the daytime and the bracelet is extremely comfortable. I highly recommend buying this watch especially from timepiece trading, because they are the only online dealer that actually has the OMEGA warranty, not some BS of their own.Get more detail about Omega Men's 2220.80.00 Seamaster 300M "James Bond" Automatic Chronometer Watch.

Buying Omega Men's 3210.50.00 Speedmaster Date Automatic Chronometer Chronograph Watch

I didn't buy this from Amazon - or any other of Amazon's vendors. Amazon has a better price than I paid, but don't expect Omega to provide any warranty service. If you are okay with that, then by all means feel free to buy from the 'gray market' here or someplace like Costco, where you will sometimes see Omegas at discounted prices.

The watch itself is an amazingly beautiful timepiece for 1/3rd the price of a Rolex Daytona, which would be its equivelent in that brand. It is 40mm like the Daytona, and like that one, wears a little small relative to modern watches that are getting as large as 50mm (gross). However, unlike some of those blingy monsters it just screams understated quality. I especially like the seamonster on the back.

The chrono automatic keeps essentially perfect time, although remember, folks this isn't a quartz watch; it is completely normal for it to gain or lose the same amount in a day as a decent quartz does in a week. That said this one runs just about perfect at +2 per day on my wrist. I pull the crown out for 1 minute, once per month and all is well. The power reserve is outstanding and it will run nearly all weekend on my dresser if I have been wearing it for awhile. The subdials are easy to read and the lume is good, but not quite what you would see on a diver because the hands and indexes are smaller. The bracelet & clasp is simply first rate and puts the much more expensive Rolex to shame.

As with any mechanical watch, find a good watchmaker (good ones are getting hard to find so look around) and have this serviced every 5 years or when it starts runs down quickly or run fast. Omega will do this for you too, but at a much higher price. It is out of warranty at that point, so I personnaly prefer support my local economy.

Given proper service, this is something you easily could pass on to your children. Omega stocks parts for models 50 years or more old at this point.

Highly recommended - In a nutshell a qualty, yet affordable timepiece that you deserve to have spend a lifetime on your wrist.Get more detail about Omega Men's 3210.50.00 Speedmaster Date Automatic Chronometer Chronograph Watch.

Cheap Omega Men's Speedmaster Professional Mechanical Chronograph Watch #3570.50.00

I liked all the reviews here, good and bad. It helped me decide that I wanted a classic that my son would have long after I'm gone. And he'd be able to get it fixed for decades to come if necessary. He just turned 2.

I sourced out some Polywatch at the same time as the Omega. And yes, the hesalite does scuff easy. But Polywatch buffs out the scuffs super easy using a cotton makeup remover pad.

My Moon watch keeps exceptional time. I forgot to wind it once on the first weekend but after that, each morning I make sure. After a month it's still on the same time as my Blackberry.

Thanks to everyone that took the time to write their review!

Cheapest Omega Men's 2210.50.00 Seamaster Planet Ocean Automatic Chronometer Chronograph Watch

Only 2 stars for this watch. While i do not own this particular brand, i do own a Planet Ocean 2200.50.00 which has the DOUBLE ANTI GLARE ( anti glare on inside and outside of crystal ). The watch looks great, no complaints about that.

Take note before you buy any of these watches from Omega that have the Double anti glare. THEY SCRATCH EASILY !! Mine scratched after 2 months and Omega will not warranty it. In fact, if you go to their website, they don't even have a customer service number and it states this:

"Due to the considerable interest shown in the OMEGA brand, our staff is answering an unprecedented number of inquiries. Therefore, you should expect a response time of at least four weeks. We thank you for your patience and understanding." ONLY THROUGH EMAIL

I feel that after spending $4000 on a watch, that they should replace it or at least re-imburse the cost. They do not and will not, so you are stuck with a scratched watch.

Save your bucks and get a ROLEX or Tag. Customer service on these Omega's are NILL !Get more detail about Omega Men's 2210.50.00 Seamaster Planet Ocean Automatic Chronometer Chronograph Watch.

Discount Omega Men's 3539.50.00 Speedmaster Automatic Chronograph Watch

I bought my Omega Speedmaster back in 1971 for about $160. Best watch I've ever owned. I used it for over 30 years on a daily basis as a stopwatch to set up,calibrate and optimize laboratory research systems. On any given day, I'd use it in this capacity maybe 5 times a day in various locations in my job as an Analytical Field Engineer-consultant. I must have set up,tested, calibrated and optimized well over 1000 research laboratories around the world.-Always using this watch as my essential timer.

In all those years, I've had it attended to only twice. Always by a certified, authorized Omega jeweler. DO NOT EVER use unauthorized jewelers to work on this watch - most of them have never seen this watch until they get their hands on yours, and they don't have a clue what to do and how to do it. If you own such a wonderful chronograph, make certain you use authentic parts and an authentic Omega certified jeweler.

The first time for a replacement watch band - wore out the original- got one - an authentic metal watchband - from Omega along with a complimentary mechanical inspection, cleaning, and calibration.

Second time, about 5 years ago, the start button return spring broke, - after being pushed about 13,000 times by me. - took it to Omega certified repair station. They did a complete overhaul, repair and cleaning for a few hundred bucks. Good as new.

As a chronograph, this watch ALWAYS kept excellent time. A real work horse, and it beats out all my other various Rolex's and other Omega's.

I can't stand quartz, battery powered watches. This Omega and I have a symbiotic relationship. The agreement is, I wind the watch, and the watch tells me what time it is -accurately and consistently.

Only thing is I wish I had one of those "Made it to Moon" engraved backs on it. Perhaps Omega would consider providing me one?
If I were to buy another Omega Speedmaster- considering it for my sons, I'd be sure to purchase only an Omega Speedmaster with the engraved back casing that says - Made it to the Moon- AND I'd be sure to get the sapphire crystal not the cheap helite plastic one. And I'd be certain to get the authentic Omega metal band with locking clasp.

OMEGA, how about it, offer me a new engraved back case in return for my 40 years of use of your wonderful product.

My favorite watch, my sons favorite watch. What else can I say? I luv it!!!!!!!!!!

You buy this watch, you get a battery-free, heirloom! Use it daily and pass it down to future generations. When someone of your future progeny is stuck in a battery-less environment then he/she will be the only person in the group who will know what the accurate time is. So long as they regularly wind the watch. I'd wind mine every morning as I awoke.Get more detail about Omega Men's 3539.50.00 Speedmaster Automatic Chronograph Watch.

Save Omega Men's 3211.30.00 Speedmaster Date Automatic Chronometer Chronograph Watch

I've had my 3211.30 for about 1 1/2 years now, and it is definitely a keeper. While shopping, when comparing to the similar Day+Date model (i.e. I purchased from a brick-and-mortar AD), I found the simpler 'Day' version to be clearly superior when it comes to readability. I wouldn't claim that it is the most readable watch in the world (not sure I would agree with the previous comment regarding the black+white Speedy Pro), but it is quite readable under almost all conditions. Off the top of my head, here are the defining characteristics of this watch:

1) The bracelet on this watch is the best I own, and in my opinion it competes well with any bracelet in the world regardless of price. Maybe not 'wins', but certainly 'competes very well'.

2) It keeps very good time (and is COSC certified). The last I checked, mine was about 2 seconds slow per day.

3) While understated in terms of size (40mm), this watch is somewhat shiny. In a good way (except for worrying about scratching all of the various polished bits), but definitely shiny. The dial and markers are mesmerizing under bright sunlight. Don't look down while walking outside; you're bound to be hit by a bus.

4) The Valjoux wobble. This watch has character coming out the wazoo. Bracelet, applied 5-minute markers, guilloche dial, ... and the characteristic 'wobble' effect of the rotor on the Valjoux 7750 movement/engine that powers this watch. That chunky little head sits at attention on your wrist at all times with great presence (similar to a Rolex Sea Dweller, but better), then very occasionally, the wobble will kick in and stop you in your tracks. "Hey, look at me. I'm still down here on your wrist." If all that 'wobble' terminology sounds like a secret code, then I apologize because "yes" it sort of is, you really have to feel it to fully appreciate it. It is kind of like trying to explain to someone what it feels like when a fish nibbles on your line. You just have to experience it. Get off your duff and get out to a knowledgeable Omega dealer and ask them to tell you about this watch .... If you're like me, you won't regret it.

Cheers,

Lowest Price Omega Women's 1572.30.00 Constellation Quartz Small Watch

First, for the reviewer who said Amazon doesn't provide authenticity for watches bought through them...well, I'm not saying that is a jeweler who doesn't like the competition (grin) but I am saying we just bought 2 watches as Christmas gifts through Amazon that came with warranties, authenticity, etc. Amazon doesn't sell the watches, Amazon sells the watches for vendors (see "sold by" on product page) so I would suggest if yours comes with something missing, contact the vendor or return it to Amazon...Amazon has been great for us with returns. From designer purses to watches to tvs to computers...everything I've bought through them (I prefer shopping this way to avoid tax and shipping) has had everything it should including warranties and authenticity papers and no storefront customers prehandling it. But I agree that is an issue and if mine was not included, I'd return it for another one immediately or return it. You want your warranty.

Okay, so...that said...this has been my watch for 10 years now. Yes, 10 years now. I don't ever remove it. I am an artist and it's gotten oil paint on it, comes right off, I clean the tub with bleach while wearing it and you'd never know (not on purpose, I'm forgetful) I've forgotten to take it off scuba diving into the deep pressurized ocean twice with no problems, I wear it (on purpose because I know I can) every time I go swimming, including in the ocean, (ocean trips twice a year) I shower in it ever day, and I work out at high intensity, high sweat 6 days a week in this watch. For 10 years. The only thing I have ever needed to have done to this watch is replace the battery and when I did they polished it for me so it looks totally brand new.

But, the best thing about it is that I spoke with my jeweler about my watch when I had the battery replaced because I was shocked to see this continue to go up in price every time I'm in the jewelry store while I see other watches often depreciate when new models come in. He said Omega is known for that and a good brand to get for that reason...for the value. Nice.

Negatives: It does not show the date if that's something important to you...Also some like numerical faces and this just has dashes. These don't bother me and my cell phone is always on me with the date anyway or I have the computer open so dated watches aren't something of importance to me...however, for others it is important so you might be aware.

p.s. It's water proof to a certain number of feet...which means you can wear it swimming but should NOT scuba in it like I did. It didn't hurt a thing when I did but that was an accident because if you dive deep the pressure can cause leakage. Speaking of which, when you change the battery be sure to take it to an authorized Omega dealer because there is a seal in this to make it waterproof and I had a friend who took one to a cheap "change it in a hour" battery replacement mall storefront and they just popped open the back and put a new battery in, broke the seal, and next time she got in the shower it leaked. I have just purchased this Omega watch and I am completely satisfied. This watch has everything that I was looking for, quality, workmanship, style at an exceptional price for the value. I had an extensive watch collection and had my home robbed, and they took everything I had. This is a start to my new collection, and having purchased the watch now, I find myself only wanting to wear this watch for all occasions. It works for work, going out for the evening or even a more formal affair. Hey George Clooney can't be wrong! Omega Men's 2222.8 Seamaster Collection Professional Diver Chronometer Watch Decide Now

I was very excited when I got this watch as an anniversary gift, but was quickly disappointed. It claims to be a certified chronometer, but it loses about 62 seconds per day. My son got a watch out of a box of cereal that keeps better time. This watch is a nice piece of jewelry. It looks very nice. Just don't plan on it being much more accurate than a sundial.Get more detail about Omega Men's 2222.8 Seamaster Collection Professional Diver Chronometer Watch.

Omega Men's 2210.51.00 Seamaster Planet Ocean Automatic Chronometer Chronograph Watch Buy Now

Customer service on these Omega's are NILL !Get more detail about Omega Men's 2210.51.00 Seamaster Planet Ocean Automatic Chronometer Chronograph Watch.

Omega Men's 2209.50.00 Seamaster Planet Ocean Automatic Chronometer Watch Order Now

I just love OMEGA timepieces. Not only do they offer the best balance between cost and quality but they are beautifully designed, striking that perfect chord of understated sophistication and timid power. It is like going slow while driving a muscle car.

This PLANET OCEAN SEAMASTER is just gorgeous. The faceplate is easy to read under all conditions (the domed sapphire-crystal is double anti-glare and the tritium hands and numerals magnificently luminescent). The black-stainless steel-offwhite-orange theme is perfectly balanced and it will compliment most outfits.

My advice: buy the steel-band version and, at the same time, order the rubber strap (it is usually cheaper than ordering a steel band later on its own). You may need to visit your jeweler whenever you will decide to switch between the bands but for a small price you will essentially have two completely different-looking watches.

On a planet of water, in a desert of cities, under the canopy of the stars this is what should keep time.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!Get more detail about Omega Men's 2209.50.00 Seamaster Planet Ocean Automatic Chronometer Watch.

Low Price Omega Men's 2909.50.82 Seamaster Planet Ocean Automatic Chronometer Orange Bezel Watch

My review is for the 42mm version of this watch on the bracelet.

I recently acquired the orange bezel Seamaster to compliment my Breitling Chrono Super Ocean. The CSO is a great watch, although very thick and difficult to fit under my shirt cuff. I was looking for something with a bit less bling factor. And it had to have an orange dial or bezel.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean fit the bill perfectly. The watch is very thin compared to the Breitling and fits easily under my shirt cuffs. The brushed appearance of the bracelet and less highly polished case is significantly less showy than the CSO. The orange bezel provides just a splash of color that prevents the look from being too boring.

The readability of the dial is excellent. I expect never to use the helium relief valve nor test the water resistance rating.

A classic addition to any gentleman's quality watch collection.Get more detail about Omega Men's 2909.50.82 Seamaster Planet Ocean Automatic Chronometer Orange Bezel Watch.

Order Death Proof [Blu-ray]

For an exploitation flick this one sure is slow. Plenty of mindless banter and girl talk but little action. The car chase at the end is great if you can stay awake for it. Pass on this and go for one of the films it emulates like Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, or just watch the far superior Planet Terror.Get more detail about Death Proof [Blu-ray].

Where To Buy Casino Royale [Blu-ray]

Without a doubt, this would have been a five-star action movie for me if it didn't lose focus briefly at the beginning of the final act, but it remains one of the finer Bond films. Craig's Bond is grittier than that of his predecessors, with some unresolved issues that make him dangerous, even to himself. Perhaps because this film is set at the beginning of Bond's career, he is neither as suave nor as at ease as the other Bonds, although he is every bit as likable.

The storyline is straightforward, at least in overview: in tracking down a bombmaker, Bond uncovers a broader terrorist presence that leads to a French financier, Le Chiffre, who literally weeps blood and who promises off-shore safe haven for terrorist funds. What the terrorists don't know is that Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen) is using their funds for his own enrichment When Bond thwarts Le Chiffre's plan, all bets are off except at the casino, where Le Chiffre attempts to win back the sum before the terrorists get to him. As usual, Bond has no intention of letting Le Chiffre succeed. And also as usual, there is a Bond girl, Vesper Lynd (Eva Green).

All the actors, including Judi Dench as the authoritative M, fit their roles admirably. But since most people watch the Bond movies for the blow-'em-up, adrendaline-saturated scenes, the real question is whether it is an exciting movie. The answer is yes, except for the flabbiness mentioned in the first paragraph.

Shop For The Terminator [Blu-ray]

The Terminator was as good as I remembered it. I told my grandson it was the best of all of the Terminator movies. After he saw it, he agreed.

I am sure we will be watching it again. Arnold was perfect in the part and I am a big fan of Linda Hamilton.Get more detail about The Terminator [Blu-ray].
