Save Omega Men's 3211.30.00 Speedmaster Date Automatic Chronometer Chronograph Watch

I've had my 3211.30 for about 1 1/2 years now, and it is definitely a keeper. While shopping, when comparing to the similar Day+Date model (i.e. I purchased from a brick-and-mortar AD), I found the simpler 'Day' version to be clearly superior when it comes to readability. I wouldn't claim that it is the most readable watch in the world (not sure I would agree with the previous comment regarding the black+white Speedy Pro), but it is quite readable under almost all conditions. Off the top of my head, here are the defining characteristics of this watch:

1) The bracelet on this watch is the best I own, and in my opinion it competes well with any bracelet in the world regardless of price. Maybe not 'wins', but certainly 'competes very well'.

2) It keeps very good time (and is COSC certified). The last I checked, mine was about 2 seconds slow per day.

3) While understated in terms of size (40mm), this watch is somewhat shiny. In a good way (except for worrying about scratching all of the various polished bits), but definitely shiny. The dial and markers are mesmerizing under bright sunlight. Don't look down while walking outside; you're bound to be hit by a bus.

4) The Valjoux wobble. This watch has character coming out the wazoo. Bracelet, applied 5-minute markers, guilloche dial, ... and the characteristic 'wobble' effect of the rotor on the Valjoux 7750 movement/engine that powers this watch. That chunky little head sits at attention on your wrist at all times with great presence (similar to a Rolex Sea Dweller, but better), then very occasionally, the wobble will kick in and stop you in your tracks. "Hey, look at me. I'm still down here on your wrist." If all that 'wobble' terminology sounds like a secret code, then I apologize because "yes" it sort of is, you really have to feel it to fully appreciate it. It is kind of like trying to explain to someone what it feels like when a fish nibbles on your line. You just have to experience it. Get off your duff and get out to a knowledgeable Omega dealer and ask them to tell you about this watch .... If you're like me, you won't regret it.

Cheers,
